There are two ways to install ShortPoint SPFx on your SharePoint site. You can use ShortPoint Polar automated installation (recommended) or install ShortPoint SPFx manually. Follow the installation method you prefer below.

Required Permissions
- You need to be a Global Office 365 Admin.
- You need to be the Site Collection Administrator for the Site Collection you are installing ShortPoint on.
ShortPoint Polar Automated Installation (Recommended)
ShortPoint Polar is the automated installation experience of ShortPoint. You can easily access it from shortpoint.com by clicking the Download or Start Trial button. This is accessible to all customers, whether you are a new or an existing one.
Click Get Started to start the interactive tutorial:
NOTE After completing the trial form, you will be asked to log in to your Office 365 account. This does not install ShortPoint to your tenant yet, but is needed to check if you have the necessary permissions to install apps on your tenant. If you don't have the necessary permissions to install ShortPoint on your environment, you will be redirected to a page where you can request help from your SharePoint admins. At the same time, you will be able to try ShortPoint and its features using an interactive experience.
Manual ShortPoint SPFx Installation
I. Prerequisites
- Manual Installation Prerequisite 1: Submit the ShortPoint trial request
- Manual Installation Prerequisite 2: Download and Extract ShortPoint Installation File
NOTE: If you want to use ShortPoint on classic sites and pages, you will also need to enable scripting capabilities:
- on classic sites: Enabling Scripting Capabilities (SPFx) in Office 365 (Classic Sites);
- on modern sites (or on a specific classic site if you don't want to wait 24h): Enable Scripting Capabilities with PowerShell for Office 365.
II. Manual Installation Steps
