This article will detail what ShortPoint Automated Installation is and demonstrate how to use it to install ShortPoint on your SharePoint sites. This is the recommended installation method for ShortPoint SPFx.
NOTEThe installation process is the same for all license options (Lite, Pro, or Enterprise). However, if you have the Lite license, you're required to assign a single SharePoint site to use. For more information, check out our Licensing Options.

What Is ShortPoint Automated Installation
We aim to make your ShortPoint experience seamless from day one, which is why we created ShortPoint Automated Installation.
Simply put, it streamlines the entire installation process. Compared to manual installation, this method significantly reduces the time needed to add ShortPoint SPFx to your SharePoint sites.
With it, you don’t have to manually download and upload the SPFx file to your App Catalog anymore. All you have to do is go to install.shortpoint.com and follow the steps already laid out for you. You can also go through our in-depth guide below for more details.

It simply verifies whether you have the necessary permissions to install apps on your tenant. If you lack these permissions, you'll be directed to a page where you can request assistance from your SharePoint admins. Meanwhile, you can explore ShortPoint's features through an interactive demo.
Step-by-step Tutorial
Follow the steps closely to get started with ShortPoint:
Step 1: Fill the form
- Go to shortpoint.com and click Start Trial:

- Fill in the necessary details and click Create my Account:

Step 2: Sign in with Microsoft 365
- Select Sign in with Microsoft 365.
- You will be redirected to the login page. Log in to your account.

Step 3: Add ShortPoint to a SharePoint site
- You can either [1] add ShortPoint to a new site or [2] add it to any of your existing sites. Select the option that fits your needs.

- Accept the terms and conditions.
- Click Add ShortPoint.
- (Optional) While waiting for the installation to be completed, you can also schedule a demo with our experts. Simply select Book my walkthrough.

- Wait for the installation to be completed, then select Go to your Site.
Step 4: Start Designing
- You will be redirected to your SharePoint page. Click Start Designing.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed ShortPoint SPFx on your SharePoint site.
