Upgrade to ShortPoint SPFx from ShortPoint Add-in (Office 365)

This article will walk you through the process of upgrading the ShortPoint Add-In to the latest version of ShortPoint SPFx.

NOTEThis upgrade is a requirement for all ShortPoint Add-in users as Microsoft recently announced the retirement of the Add-in extensibility model.

Prerequisites

• ShortPoint Add-In is installed on your Office 365 environment

Step 1: Download the latest version of ShortPoint SPFx

Step 2: Install ShortPoint SPFx

Currently, in your App Catalog, you will see ShortPoint Add-In.

Step 3: Delete the old ShortPoint App

As part of the installation, ShortPoint SPFx will migrate your data such as Theme Builder themes, Generated elements, Connections, and Integrations from your old dashboard to the new one. NOTE Removing the old ShortPoint app is required for the solution to work effectively. However, make sure to install the latest version of ShortPoint first before deleting the old ShortPoint app.
