Our Demos Library contains a collection of ready-to-use page design templates and Design Element samples that you can copy and paste into your intranet page. In this article, we will show you how to copy and paste these templates to your own SharePoint environment.
Note: ShortPoint Page Builder Live Mode was formerly known as Visual Builder.

Prerequisites
- You have the latest version of ShortPoint installed for your environment
- You are a ShortPoint Designer with an active license.
How to Copy from ShortPoint Demos Library
Step 1: Add a ShortPoint Web Part
Edit the page where you want to add the SharePoint template:
Click the plus icon to add a section:
Select the Section style you prefer. For this guide, we will use One Column section layout:
Hover over the section and click the gray plus icon:
Scroll down or use the search bar to look for the ShortPoint icon:
You will now see ShortPoint Page Builder. Click the Switch to Live Mode icon to start editing in Live Mode:
Step 2: Go to Demos Library
Click the Demos Library icon in the floating bar to gain access to our Demos Library:
NOTE: You can also access our Demos Library by entering demos.shortpoint.com into your browser.
Step 3: Copy desired page or section
There are two ways to copy a template:
Option 1: Copying a whole page
If you want to copy the whole template including all the Sections, Rows, Columns, and Design Elements in it, click Copy Page:
You will see a checkmark after clicking Copy Page. This simply means that you have successfully copied the template:
Option 2: Copying parts of a page
If you want to copy certain Sections of the page or specific Design Elements only, toggle on Allow to copy parts:
Hover over the part you want to copy and click Copy. You will see a checkmark after clicking Copy. This simply means that you have successfully copied the template:
How to Paste Copied Template in ShortPoint Page Builder Live Mode
There are two ways to paste copied pages and their parts into your ShortPoint web part in Live Mode. Choose the one that works best for you.
Option 1: Paste with EasyPass Other Actions button
Step 1: Enter EasyPass Active Mode
Go to the Section or Design Element closest to where you want to insert your copied template and press its tag to go to Active Mode:
Step 2: Press the Other Actions button
Click the ellipsis icon to open the other actions dropdown menu:
You will see the following paste options:
- Paste Page Before Section - pastes the SharePoint Template before the selected Section.
- Paste Page After Section - pastes the SharePoint Template after the selected Section.
Info: If the paste options are greyed out, you may need to repeat the copying process again or the content you copied cannot be inserted within the area you selected.
Step 3: Select the appropriate Paste option
Choose the paste option that fits what you want to achieve on your page:
Info: When pasting a Design Element before or after a Section, it will automatically be inserted into a new Section and Row.
Option 2: Paste using Context Menu
Step 1: Right-click to open the context menu
Right-click on empty space around a Design Element where you want to paste your copied template. This will show a list of options in a pop-up window:
Info: If the paste options are greyed out, you may need to repeat the copying process again or the content you copied cannot be inserted within the area you selected.
Step 2: Select the Paste option
Hit Paste and the contents you copied will be inserted accordingly:
Info: When pasting a Design Element before or after a Section, it will automatically be inserted into a new Section and Row.
Now that you successfully pasted the page, Section, or Design Element template, you can go ahead and customize their settings and contents according to your needs.
