Detailed Guide on EasyPass
Learn more about EasyPass and its functions in the detailed guide below:
What is EasyPass?
When editing a SharePoint page in Live Mode, you will see colorful labels all over the page. These labels indicate the name of the Design Elements on your page. As you hover over and select these labels, you will activate EasyPass, which is a feature that allows you to easily identify, select, and modify Design Elements.
EasyPass Active Mode
Selecting a specific Design Element will take you to EasyPass Active Mode, which allows you to select a specific Design Element on the page and work on it without the distraction of other EasyPass labels.
Entering Active Mode
To enter Active Mode, simply select an EasyPass label. The selected Design Element will be highlighted, so you can clearly see what you are working on.
Additionally, you will see action icons beside the label:
- A cogwheel to open the Design Element settings window;
- A trash bin icon to delete the highlighted Design Element; and,
- An Other actions ellipsis to open the dropdown menu with duplicate, lock, copy, and cut actions.
Exiting Active Mode
To exit Active Mode, click anywhere outside the Design Element. Any changes you make in EasyPass Active Mode will be saved and you can proceed with designing the rest of the page.
That's it! You now know the basics of the EasyPass feature. Enjoy exploring and using this feature on your own pages.
