If you are using ShortPoint Add-in or ShortPoint SPFx version 6.1.x.xxxx and below, you may have noticed that the ShortPoint Web Part is blank or not displaying any content.
In this article, we will provide a workaround to get your pages back up and running.
Issue
The ShortPoint web part does not display content for pages built using the classic experience.
The user may also not be able to access ShortPoint Dashboard and is stuck on the loading page:
Reason
This is due to Microsoft’s recent retirement of the Add-in extensibility model and the removal of the ability to enable Scripting Capabilities in the admin center.

Solution
To resolve this issue, follow the instructions that correspond to the current ShortPoint version you are using:
For ShortPoint Add-in Users:
If you use ShortPoint add-in, you must first install the latest version of ShortPoint to your Site Contents. Then, you need to delete the old ShortPoint app. Follow the steps in the article below to learn how:
NOTERemoving the old ShortPoint app is required for the solution to work effectively. However, make sure to install the latest version of ShortPoint first before deleting the old ShortPoint app.
For ShortPoint SPFx version 6.1.x.xxxx and below:
If you use ShortPoint version 6.1.x.xxxx and below, you need to update the .spkg file in your App Catalogue and install the latest version of ShortPoint SPFx in Site Contents. Follow the steps below to learn how:
Note: In November 2024, Microsoft will disable Scripting Capabilities on SharePoint Microsoft 365 sites. This means that ShortPoint will stop working on Classic Pages in Microsoft 365 environments and the issue will persist. We recommend transforming your Classic pages to Modern to resolve this concern. Follow the steps in our support article on ShortPoint Microsoft 365 Classic Pages Deprecation: Transforming Classic Pages to Modern Pages to go through this process. For SharePoint 2019 users, continue to follow the steps in this article to resolve the issue.

NOTEIf you can access the ShortPoint Dashboard, but still can’t see content in the ShortPoint Web Part, you need to enable Scripting Capabilities with Power Shell. Follow the steps in Enable Scripting Capabilities with PowerShell to learn how.
Once you have updated the latest version of ShortPoint SPFx, the ShortPoint web part should display all your content.
