Known Issue: Outlook Upcoming Recurrent Event is Not Displayed When "Show only once" is Selected in the Recurrence Settings

Issue

You have connected your Events or Date Lists Design Element to the Outlook Calendar and set Show only once recurrence option in the connection settings:

However, you might notice that the closest upcoming event for the recurring events is not showing up:

Reason

The Show only once recurrence option for Outlook Calendar connections works different from the SharePoint Calendar connections.

Note: For the SharePoint Calendar connections, the closest upcoming event will be shown in the Events or Date Lists Design Elements.

Show only once recurrence option for the Outlook Calendar connections will result in only showing the master event - the first event in the events' series. Hence, if the master event is in the past, no events from the series will be shown in your Design Element:

This is a known expected behavior for the Outlook Calendar connections.

Further Improvements

Soon, the Show only once recurrence option in the Outlook Calendar connections will be updated. It will work the same way as with the SharePoint Calendar connections: the closest event will be shown.

This improvement has been added to our product roadmap.
