What is the best scenario to use Site Collection App Catalog?

When you want to:

  1. Try ShortPoint App without making it available across the tenant
  2. Control permissions and do not want to give user access to full tenant app catalog
  3. You want to have multiple versions of your Add-in / App installed on your tenant  (No longer possible to have different versions of ShortPoint with the New Upgrade (ShortPoint version 7.1.5.x.xx and later))
  4. Delegate the management of your SharePoint Add-in / App
