Issue

You were trying to Install, repair or upgrade ShortPoint on SharePoint. The installation wizard failed at System Check step with an error: 
"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application". System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

at CodePlex.SharePointInstaller.SystemCheckControl.InitializeChecks()

Reason

User is not logged as the Farm Administrator account.

Solution

Please log in as the Farm Administrator account.
