If you are trying to apply some changes to your SharePoint home page using the Home Page elements from the ShortPoint Theme Builder, and you do not see any of your changes being applied to the site, then you have come to the right place.

Reason

ShortPoint relies on SharePoint APIs to know what is the actual home page of your site, and sometimes SharePoint APIs just return the wrong data.

So even if you specified the home page from site settings, or clicked on the Make Homepage ribbon button, Still SharePoint APIs in some cases might give us a wrong data related to what is the current home page, which will make the Home Page Elements seem to be not working.

Solution

To overcome this issue, all you have to do is to open a page that is other than your current Home page, and set it to be the Homepage using the Make Homepage ribbon button ( as shown in the next image ),

Then navigate back to your desired homepage, and set it back to be the Homepage.
