Background Video Does Not Work on iPhone / iPad Devices

If you try to add a video background ShortPoint, and then try to open the page that contains this video background on iOS devices ( iPhone or iPad ), you will notice that the video background is not autoplayed.

Cause:

on iOS devices it is not allowed to autoplay videos until the end-user initiate the action ( see references below )

Resolution:

Background ShortPoint can accept both an image and a video at the same time, so you can provide an alternative background image, that will be shown to end users when the background video fails to play, and by this way you avoid having a blank background area shown to some of your users.
