Introducing the New User Experience for ShortPoint Visibility

Creating targeted content for different audiences just got simpler. While Live Mode has always excelled in visual design, configuring visibility settings required switching to Grid Mode.

The latest ShortPoint update, SPFx version 8.7.2.0, eliminates this workflow break. Now you can set content visibility directly within Live Mode's Design Element settings. Here's your guide to the updated process.

Prerequisites:

• You must have ShortPoint SPFx version 8.7.2.0 or laterinstalled on your SharePoint environment.
• You must be a ShortPoint Designer with an active license.
• You have inserted a Design Element and wish to adjust its visibility settings.

Accessing Visibility Settings Within Live Mode: Step-by-step

Follow these steps to learn how to set up your connections in the updated user experience:

Step 1: Edit the ShortPoint web part

• Click the Edit button on your SharePoint page.
• Select the ShortPoint web part.
• Open the ShortPoint Live Mode editing interface by clicking the Edit properties icon.

Step 2: Open the Design Element settings window

• Click on the Design Element EasyPass tag to modify its visibility.
• Press the cogwheel icon to open the settings window.

Step 3: Access the visibility settings window

• Switch to the Visibility tab. You will find two new experiences:

• Click the Configure button. This will open the visibility settings window you are familiar with.

Step 4: Adjust visibility settings

• Add new visibility rules and make the required changes to the settings as needed.
• Click Update to apply your visibility settings.

Step 5: Update and save your changes

• Remember to press the green checkmark button to apply all changes to the design element.
• Save your page edits and republish when complete.

Now, all adjustments to a specific Design Element can be done within Live Mode. No need to switch to Grid Mode.
