This is the first step of the ShortPoint SPFx installation for SharePoint 2019. This article will walk you through how to upload ShortPoint SPFx to your App Catalog.

Before we begin
This article is for SharePoint 2019 Farm Server. Make sure you have completed the following steps for your Web Application before you proceed with this article:
- Prerequisite 1: Set up App Catalog(Setup for each Web Application where you want to use ShortPoint)
- Prerequisite 2: Enable Scripting Capabilities(required if you want to use ShortPoint on classic sites and pages)
- Prerequisite 3: Enable IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility
Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1: Go to Central Administration
From your SharePoint 2019 Farm Server, open SharePoint 2019 Central Administration
Step 2: Go to Manage App Catalog
On the Central Administration page, select Apps from the side panel.
Under App Management, click Manage App Catalog.
Step 3: Open App Catalog
Click the link under Site URL.
You will be redirected to your App Catalog.
Step 4: Go to Apps for SharePoint library
On your App Catalog page, select Apps for SharePoint from the side menu.
Step 5: Download the latest version of ShortPoint SPFx
- Download the latest version of ShortPoint SPFx
- Extract the file ShortPoint-SPFx_XXXX.zip
- After extracting, you will find the shortpoint-spfx.sppkg file.
- Upload shortpoint-spfx.sppkg as described in the next step.
Step 6: Upload ShortPoint SPFx to App Catalog
On the Apps for SharePoint page, click New.
A pop-up window will appear. Click Choose Files:
Look for the shortpoint-spfx.sppkg file you extracted earlier and click Open.
Then, click OK.
After the upload is completed successfully, you will be prompted to deploy the solution. Click Deploy.
You will then see a message indicating that the upload was completed successfully.
Step 7: Verify if ShortPoint SPFx was deployed successfully
To check if ShortPoint SPFx was deployed successfully, look at the Deployed column. Make sure that you see Yes under it to confirm deployment success.
That's it! You have now uploaded ShortPoint SPFx to your App Catalog. Now, you can proceed to Add ShortPoint SPFx to a SharePoint Site.
