In this article, we will show you how to copy footer templates from ShortPoint's demos library and paste it into ShortPoint Generator.

Before we begin
- To use ShortPoint Generator, make sure that you have ShortPoint installed. (Here are the installation guides for Office 365, SharePoint 2019, and SharePoint 2013/2016).
- Make sure that you have the latest version of ShortPoint for your environment. ShortPoint Generator is available in ShortPoint versions 5.3.3.22 and above.
- If you are using SharePoint 2013, 2016, or have ShortPoint SPFx version 7, the interface will be slightly different but will have the same features.
Step-by-step Tutorial
Step 1: Copy a footer template from our demos library
Go to the demos library and toggle on Allow to copy parts.
Hover over the footer template you want to copy and click Copy.
NOTE: You can also select accessibility footer templates from our demos library to show that your site complies with international accessibility standards. Learn more about accessibility in our Accessibility page.
Step 2: Open ShortPoint Generator
Go to the site where you want to add the footer and click the cogwheel icon.
Then, click Site contents.
Select ShortPoint Dashboard.
Click Generator to open ShortPoint Generator.
Step 3: Paste the copied footer template into ShortPoint Generator
Give a name to your footer element (1) and select Footer (2) as its type.
Then, scroll down to the content area, right-click using your mouse, and click Paste Section Before Section.
Once you are done editing the footer according to your preference, click Save Changes.
Your newly created footer will be listed under Your Custom Elements / ShortPoints.
Step 4: Add your footer using ShortPoint Theme Builder
From the ShortPoint Dashboard, select Theme Builder.
Then, click Customize my site.
In the Theme Builder navigation, select Footer.
Then, select General Layout.
In the Select Footer drop-down, you can select the footer you created in Generator.
Step 6: Remove default settings
We have default settings for the background and paddings in case you create your footer on transparent background. Remove these settings so you can customize the footer according to your preference.

For this guide, let's add a divider before your footer.
Step 8: Publish your changes
When you finish, click the Publish button in Theme Builder.
