Step-by-step Tutorial
Follow the option that you want to use:
Option 1: Using the List Web Part
This option is best to use when you want to display lists located on the SharePoint site or site collection you're using.
Step 1: Edit the SharePoint Page
- Go to the SharePoint page you want to use and click Edit:
- Close the Toolbox:
Step 2: Insert the List Web Part
- Click the gray plus icon:
- Look for List and select it.
- Choose the list you want to display.
Step 3: Customize the List Web Part
- Click the Edit properties icon:
- Customize the list according to your preferences.
- Click Apply.

Step 4: Publish
- Close the List properties:
- Publish your page:
Congratulations! You now have a list on your SharePoint page:

Option 2: Using the Embed Web Part
This option is best to use when you want to display lists from other SharePoint pages.
Step 1: Copy the Page URL
- Open the SharePoint List you want to use.
- Copy its URL:
Step 2: Edit the SharePoint Page
- Go to the SharePoint page where you want to display the list and click Edit:
- Close the Toolbox:
Step 3: Insert the Embed Web Part
- Click the gray plus icon:
- Look for Embed and select it.
Step 4: Paste URL
- Paste the page URL you copied in Step 1 in the field provided:
Step 5: Publish
- Close the Embed properties:
- Publish your page:

List Features
Below are the customizations you can modify for the List Web Part:
![]() | List | allows you to choose the list you want to display. |
![]() | View | allows you to choose the view you want to showcase. |
![]() | Folder | allows you to add a folder name. |
![]() | Size | allows you to choose how big the list is. You can choose from Small, Medium, Large, and AutoSize. |
![]() | Show Command bar | when enabled, the command bar will be hidden. |
![]() | Show “See all” button | when enabled, the “See all” button will be hidden. |
![]() | Dynamic Filtering | when enabled, you will be able to filter the displayed list based on the filters of another list. |
