Getting Started: The Basics of the ShortPoint Smart Toolbar

NOTEThis feature will be released soon.

SharePoint pages often contain thousands of data points, resulting in lengthy lists of information. For example, you might have an Image List displaying all your employees, a File List containing all your documents, or a Date List showing all your company events:

But with all that data on your page, finding the information you need can take a lot of time and work. This is where ShortPoint's new Smart Toolbar comes in! With it, you can add Search, Filter, Tabs, Pagination, and Sort widgets to your Design Elements. These widgets make it easier to find what you need.

In this article, we will walk you through the basics of all the Smart Toolbar features to help you get the data on your page sorted and organized.

Here are all the widgets you can use to search, filter, and sort your data:

The Search widget adds a search bar to your selected Design Element. It allows users to quickly find specific items within the content. For instance, using the Search widget, a user easily found "Marie Johnson" among many entries:

Filtration

The Filtration / Filter widget adds customizable filters to your Design Elements based on their assigned properties (Titles, Subtitles, Description, etc.). For example, in our Image List, we have Titles (employee names) and Subtitles (job titles). We created a filter for all the subtitles, allowing users to easily sort employees by their roles:
