Frequently Asked Questions

Which option should I use?

Any of them. All three options add the same ShortPoint web part. Option 1 is quickest if the Toolbox is already open. Option 2 is handy when you want ShortPoint to fill the full width of the page. Option 3 is useful when you want to add ShortPoint to an existing section.

Why can't I see the Edit button on my SharePoint page?

You need permission to edit the page. If the Edit button is missing, ask your SharePoint site owner or admin to give you edit access.

I don't see ShortPoint in the list of web parts. What should I do?

Try typing ShortPoint in the search bar. If it still doesn't appear, make sure ShortPoint is installed and available on your SharePoint site. Contact your SharePoint admin or reach out to ShortPoint Support if you need help.

Do I need to add the ShortPoint web part every time I edit the page?

No. Once the ShortPoint web part is on the page, it stays there. Next time, just edit the page and open ShortPoint Page Builder from the existing web part.
