Known Issue : Your Site Is a Group Site Collection When Enabling Scripting Capabilities

Issue

When you get a message that "https://mytenant.sharepoint.com/sites/mysite" is a Groups site collection.

Reason

You have an older version of Power Shell

Solution

You need to install the latest version of SharePoint Online Management Shell by navigating to SharePoint Online Management Shell Download and enable scripting capabilities again.

Note:
On November 2024, Scripting Capabilities will no longer be supported for Classic pages in SharePoint Microsoft 365 environments. This solution will only work for SharePoint 2019.
