Try ShortPoint nowThis article will show you how to edit SharePoint calendar view settings to display only entries created by one user. This is an option you can use when displaying the contents of your SharePoint calendar through Events connection in a ShortPoint design element.

Step 1: Go to the Calendar Tab
Access your SharePoint site calendar containing the entries you wish to display. Click the Calendar tab found at the top left corner. This will expand to show several calendar options.
Step 2: Create a Custom View
Start by choosing All Events view under the Current view drop down.
This will show you a list of all event entries made by different users in your calendar.
Note: The Created By column was added in the example view to demonstrate the changes that will be made in the next steps.
In the List tab, click Create View and select Standard View. Write your preferred View Name. In this example, we are naming it “User View”.
Step 3: Edit Filter Settings
Scroll down to the Filter section. Here, you are changing the filter settings to show only entries by the user.
To set a dynamic view where events displayed will depend on who is viewing the page, do the following:
- Select Show items only when the following is true: radio button,
- Choose “Created by” in the Column to Filter field,
- Use “is equal to” in the operator field, and
- Type [Me] in the Value field
To set a view where events displayed are specific to one or more users, do the following:
- Select Show items only when the following is true: radio button,
- Choose “Created by” in the Column to Filter field,
- Use “is equal to” in the operator field, and
- Type user name in the Value field. You can choose to add more users on the second filter setting or click Show More Columns for a third user and so on.
Step 4: Save Custom View
Hit OK to save your custom view.
You will now see the custom view listing event entries following your filters.
Note: Take note of the name of your custom view because this will be seen as one of the List / Library options when connecting with Events in your chosen ShortPoint design element.
