Using ShortPoint features, you can showcase all-day events in your SharePoint page. There are two ways to do so.
One way is to use ShortPoint Connect to display all-day events from your connected SharePoint calendar.
Another way is to manually add all-day events into an Events Design Element:

Prerequisites
- You must have the latest version of ShortPoint SPFx installed on your SharePoint environment.
- You must be a ShortPoint Designer with an active license.
- You must already have an Events Design Element on your page.
- If you use Option 1, you must have an Events calendar with all-day events.
Step-by-step Tutorial
Follow the option that best suits your needs:
Option 1: For Connected Events Design Elements
This option will detail steps on how to display all-day events in a connected Events Design Element.
Step 1: Check if All Day Events are in your SharePoint Calendar
- Go to your SharePoint Calendar and select the Calendar tab:
- Under the [1] Current View drop-down, choose [2] All Events:
- Go to the List tab:
- Click Modify View:
- Select All Day Event:
- Scroll down and click OK to apply your changes:
- You will now see an All Day Event column. Under it, you will see a “Yes” for each entry that is an all-day event:
Step 2: Edit the ShortPoint Web Part
- Go to the SharePoint page you want to use and click Edit:
- Close the Toolbox:
- Click the Edit Properties icon:
Step 3: Switch to Grid Mode
NOTEShortPoint Connect is currently only available in Grid Mode.
- Click the Switch to Grid Mode icon:
Step 4: Edit the Events Design Element
NOTEBefore proceeding, make sure you already have an Events Design Element on your page.
- Hover over the Events Design Element and click the cogwheel icon:
Step 5: Connect
- Go to the Connect tab.
- Select the connection type you want to use. For this guide, we’ll use Current Site.
- Select the [1] name of your SharePoint Calendar and the [2] view you prefer:
NOTEThe options that appear depend on the connection type you’re using. Check out Connection Types for more details about the connection type you want to use.
- Once satisfied, click Connect.
Step 6: Map Items
- Go to the Items tab.
- Delete all default content.
- Use the link icon to map the properties you want to display:
Make sure that the All Day Event property is mapped. This is an automatically mapped item.
Step 7: Save
- Click Preview to see how your Design Element will look.
- Once satisfied, click Update.
- Click the eye icon to see your page in real-time:
- Save your changes:
Congratulations! You can now show all-day events for connected Events Design Elements.
Option 2: For Static Events Design Elements
This option will detail steps on how to manually display all-day events in an Events Design Element.
Step 1: Edit the ShortPoint Web Part
- Go to the SharePoint page you want to use and click Edit:
- Close the Toolbox:
- Click the Edit Properties icon:
Step 2: Edit the Events Design Element
NOTEBefore proceeding, make sure you already have an Events Design Element on your page.
- Click the Events tag:
- Select the cogwheel icon:
Step 3: Toggle on All Day
- Click the cogwheel icon of the item you want to turn into an all-day event:
- Turn on the All Day option:
- Click the back icon:
- Repeat the steps for the other items you want to turn into an all-day event.
Step 4: Save
- Click the green check mark once satisfied.
- Click the eye icon to see your page in real-time:
- Save your changes:
Congratulations! You can now show all-day events for static Events Design Elements.
