Selecting the Instagram Design Element will open its Settings tab allowing to customize various options.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Before we begin
It is possible to embed one Instagram post at a time. ShortPoint Instagram Design Element is using the API provided by Instagram. It currently allows displaying a single post - this is a limitation by the API, at the moment there is no API for displaying the whole Instagram feed.
Customization options
In the Settings tab of the Instagram Design Element, you can see options that would let you customize how you want the Instagram post look like on your page.
Post URL
To add an Instagram post to your page, you need to get its URL:
Simply go to the post URL if you have it prepared, or you can search for the username on Instagram.com, visit their profile, and then open the post you want to display. Copy the URL from the address bar of your browser.
Hide caption
By default, an Instagram post will contain a media caption. You can hide it by simply toggling the Hide caption option on. This will reduce the height size of the embedded element.
You can check the difference in the table below:
Caption is Displayed (Default) | Caption is Hidden |
![]() | ![]() |
Size
Control the size and responsiveness of the Instagram Social Media Design Element by using the Width setting. It allows you to set the maximum width of returned media.
This value is optional and should be greater than 320 pixels and less than 1200px. Simply use the slider to set the value or type it in the input field on the right:
Note: The height option is not supported. This is because the embedded code is responsive and its height varies depending on its width and length of the caption.
