How to Hide Quick Launch / Left Navigation from Modern SharePoint Team Sites


The Quick Launch,  a.k.a. left navigation panel, appears by default in SharePoint Modern Team Sites.  You have the option to remove this side panel to use the full width of the page and use ShortPoint full screen Design Elements that adds value to your Intranet's user experience.

Prerequisites

  • You have Office 365 or SharePoint 2019 environment.
  • You use SharePoint Modern Team sites.
  • You have ShortPoint installed on your SharePoint site(s).
  • You are a ShortPoint user with an active license.

Steps to Hide Quick Launch from a Modern SharePoint Page

 

Step 1: Navigate to ShortPoint Theme Builder


Navigate to the ShortPoint Theme Builder for Modern Pages: go to Site Contents > ShortPoint Dashboard > Theme Builder > Modern.




 


Step 2: Open the elements settings in the Theme Builder


In the Theme Builder, go to General Settings > Elements:



 


Step 3: Choose Which Pages to Hide Quick Launch in


You can choose the scope of pages between All Sites, Root Site, Home Page, or System Pages to hide Quick Launch in.



 


Step 4: Hide Side Panel and Publish


Switch on the Hide Side Panel option, and then press Publish to apply the changes.
