By default, SharePoint Library / List has an item display limit of 30. As a result, ShortPoint Design Elements connected to a SharePoint Library / List with more than 30 items will only display a maximum of 30 items.
This article will demonstrate how you can increase the item limit of connected ShortPoint Design Elements.
NOTE: This tutorial is for the SharePoint Modern Experience. If your page does not look like this, check out How to Increase the Items Limit of Connected ShortPoint Elements (Classic Experience).

Prerequisites

- You must have a ShortPoint Design Element connected to the SharePoint List / Library with more than 30 items.
Increasing the Item Limit
There are two ways to customize the item limit. Follow the option that best fit your needs:
Option 1: Using ShortPoint Connect Items Limit Field
This option will allow you to edit the Items limit of a specific ShortPoint Design Element in the Connect tab.
NOTE: If you need more information about connected Design Elements, check out our article on ShortPoint Connect: Basic Tutorial.
Step 1: Edit the connected ShortPoint Design Element
Click the Switch to Grid Mode icon in the Action Toolbar.
Then, hover over the connected ShortPoint Design Element and select the cogwheel icon.
Step 2: Modify the Items Limit in the Connect tab
Go to the Connected tab.
Then, click Disconnect to modify the Items Limit field.
NOTE: By default, the Items Limit field will have a value of 0. This means that it will not override the Item Limit in SharePoint view because there is no value added to it.
In the Items Limit field, add the value you prefer. For this tutorial, we will set the value to 50.
NOTE: If you modify the Item Limit inside the Modify View page and also provided another value in the Items Limit field in the Connect tab, the Items Limit field inside the Connect tab will override the value of the Item Limit of the view itself. (e.g. If in Modify View, the Item Limit = 100 and in Conncet tab, the Items Limit = 50, ShortPoint will only render 50 items).
Once you are satisfied with the value you set, click Connect to re-establish the connection.
Step 3: Update and Save
Click Update.
Then, click the eye icon to preview how your ShortPoint Design Element will look in real-time.
You will now see more than 30 items on your connected Design Element. Click Save to keep your progress.
Then, click Republish.
Option 2: Using SharePoint Edit View
This option will allow you to change the value of the Item Limit field using the SharePoint Modify view. This will make any ShortPoint Design Element connected to this view return the item limit you set.
Step 1: Open the SharePoint Library / List
Open the SharePoint page with the connected ShortPoint Design Element and click the cogwheel icon.
Click Site Contents.
Click the SharePoint Library / List you want to edit. For this guide, we will edit Documents.
Step 2: Edit the current view
Click All Documents.
From the drop-down, select Edit current view.
Scroll down until you see the Item Limit field and change the value according to your preference. For this guide, we will change the value to 50.
Step 3: Apply changes
To save your changes, click Ok.
Step 4: Re-connect connected ShortPoint Design Elements
If you have any ShortPoint Design Elements connected to this view, you must reconnect it.
To do this, go to the SharePoint page with the connected element and click the Switch to Grid Mode icon in the Action Toolbar.
Then, hover over the connected ShortPoint Design Element and select the cogwheel icon.
Go to the Connected tab.
Click Disconnect.
Then, click Connect to re-establish the connection.
Step 5: Update and Save
Click Update.
Then, click the eye icon to preview how your page will look in real-time.
You will now see more than 30 items on your connected Design Element. Click Save to keep your progress.
Then, click Republish.
That’s it! You now know two ways to customize and increase the Item Limit for SharePoint Lists / Libraries.
