Adding Arial Font into ShortPoint Theme Builder

Arial font is available within wiki pages on SharePoint, but not within the ShortPoint font selections list. How would I add it to the ShortPoint Theme Builder fonts?

Best Answer

To make Arial font available in ShortPoint Theme Builder font selection control, please follow these steps:

1. Open the Theme Builder ( Site Settings > ShortPoint Dashboard > Site Customizations > and click the Customize my site button )

2. Navigate to Utilities > Custom Fonts > Advanced

3. Paste the following code into the Other Custom Font text field, and Click the Apply button

@font-face {
  font-family: 'Arial';
  src: local(Arial);
};

4. Now open any font selection control ( e.g: Typography > Base ), and you will see Arial available under the Custom Fonts category

Important Note:

Local fonts depend on the fonts installed on the site visitor's machine, so for example, if you attempt to add a local font that is only available on your machine, the font will be rendered only if the site was opened from your machine.

This does not apply to the example above, as Arial font comes already within Windows & Mac operating systems.
