Embedding your Facebook feed to your SharePoint site just got easier with the ShortPoint Code Editor. Follow our quick walkthrough or our detailed guide to learn how to accomplish this.

Prerequisite
- You must already have the ShortPoint Code Web Part installed on your SharePoint page. To learn how to do this, check out How to Install ShortPoint Code Editor in SharePoint.
Quick Walkthrough
1. Go to the Facebook page you want to embed and copy its URL.
2. Open Facebook Page Plugin, paste the copied URL and customize how you want the Facebook feed to look. Once satisfied with your edits, click Get Code.
3. Go to your SharePoint page and add the ShortPoint Code Web Part.
4. Click the Edit Properties icon of the ShortPoint Code to edit it.
5. Delete all default codes
5. Paste the copied code in the HTML field, customize it to your needs, and click Save.
6. Enable Sandbox Mode, adjust the height of the code container, and close the ShortPoint Code window.
7. Republish the page.
Step-by-step Tutorial
Follow the detailed instructions to add a Facebook feed to your SharePoint page:
Step 1: Copy the Facebook Page URL
- Go to the Facebook page you want to embed and copy the URL:
Step 2: Copy the Embed Code
- Open the Facebook Page Plugin and paste the copied URL in the Facebook Page URL field:
- Customize the look of the Facebook feed according to your needs:

- Once satisfied with your edits, click Get Code:
- Go to the IFrame tab:
- Copy Code:
Step 3: Add the ShortPoint Code Web Part
- Go to the SharePoint page where you want to add the Facebook feed and click Edit:
- Click the close icon to leave the Toolbox:
- Select the plus icon to add a web part:
- Use the search bar to look for ShortPoint Code, or scroll down until you see the Advanced section. Click ShortPoint Code:
Step 4: Edit the ShortPoint Code Web Part
- Click the Edit Properties icon:
Step 5: Delete Default codes
- Select each field, delete the default codes inside, and click Save:
Step 6: Paste the Code
- Click the Edit HTML field:
- Paste the code:
- You can edit the code directly in the ShortPoint Code Editor. Customize the code according to your needs and click Save:
Step 7: Republish Page
- Once satisfied, click the close icon to leave the ShortPoint Code window:
- Click Republish once you’re ready to make your changes live:
That’s it! Start embedding your Facebook feed on your SharePoint page now.
Facebook Page Embed Features
Below are the features you can customize:
![]() | Facebook Page URL | allows you to add the URL of the page you want to embed. |
![]() | Tabs | allows you to customize the tabs (i.e. `timeline`, `events`, `messages`, etc) that will appear in the feed. |
![]() | Width | allows you to adjust the width of the feed. The minimum width is 180px and the maximum is 500px. |
![]() | Height | allows you to adjust the height of the feed. The minimum height is 70px. |
![]() | Use Small Header | when enabled, the size of the header will be reduced. |
![]() | Adapt to plugin container width | when enabled, the feed will automatically fit inside the container width. |
![]() | Hide Cover Photo | when enabled, the cover photo will be hidden. |
![]() | Show Friend's Faces | when enabled, the photos of your Facebook friends who like the page will be featured. |
