How to Add a SharePoint Web Part

A SharePoint Web Part is a customizable widget that forms a SharePoint page. You can use it to present information or facilitate interaction among your users. You can add various web parts to your page, including calendars, task lists, images, document libraries, and many more.

Follow the steps below for a detailed guide on how to add a ShortPoint web part:


Step 1: Edit a SharePoint page

  • Go to the page where you want to add a web part.
  • Click Edit on the upper-right corner of the page.

Step 2: Select a SharePoint web part


  • Hover over a section and click the gray plus icon.
  • There are two ways to look for a web part:
    • One is to use the search bar and click the web part you prefer.

allows you to add Viva Engage conversations to your page.


Step 3: Edit your web part 

  • Customize the web part you selected according to your preferences.


NOTE: Each web part has different customization options. The options you see will differ depending on the web part you added.

Step 4: Save and Republish


  • Once you are satisfied with your edits, click Save as drafts.
  • Then, click Republish.
