Issue

You get You can't add this app here message when trying to add ShortPoint under Apps from your organization:

Reason

There are two possible reasons why you can't add ShortPoint SPFx:

• ShortPoint was already added on your environment;
• ShortPoint was removed from your Site contents, but it still remains in the Recycle Bin.

Solution

In case ShortPoint App is Added to Site Contents

Step 1: Click "Find out why"

If you see Good News - You already have this on your site message there, it means that you have ShortPoint App installed.

Please, proceed to the Installation from the ShortPoint Dashboard paragraph of this article.

In case ShortPoint App was removed, but it's still in the Recycle Bin

Before we begin:

• You need to have Site Collection Administrator rights to open the Second-stage Recycle Bin.

Step 1: Check your Recycle Bin

Open Recycle Bin from the Site contents.

Check if all ShortPoint files have been deleted. If not, select them and delete.

Step 2: Check your Second-stage Recycle Bin

At the bottom of the Recycle Bin page, click Second-stage recycle bin.

Check if all ShortPoint files have been deleted. If not, select them and delete.

Step 3: Add the ShortPoint App from the App Catalog

Go back to the Site Contents. Click New and select App from the drop-down.

Select ShortPoint SPFx from the App Catalog > From Your Organization.


Please, proceed to the Installation from the ShortPoint Dashboard paragraph of this article.

Installation from the ShortPoint Dashboard

Open ShortPoint Dashboard (Site contents > ShortPoint SPFx - Install Now!).


Select Installation.


Enable or disable options Install for classic pages and Site Collection Scope Installation as you prefer, and click Install.

Note: if you see an error message as shown below, please check our solution article: Oops, the installation has failed! Scripting capabilities are not enabled on this site.

Once the installation is finished, you will see Installation Completed Successfully message:

That's it. Now you can use ShortPoint on your pages.
