How to Hide Quick Launch / Left Navigation from Modern SharePoint Team Sites

The Quick Launch,  or the left navigation panel, appears by default in SharePoint Modern Team Sites.  

You have the option to remove this side panel using ShortPoint Theme Builder. This article will demonstrate how you can do so. Simply follow the steps below to get started.

Prerequisites

• You have the latest version of ShortPoint installed on your SharePoint site(s).
• You must be a ShortPoint Designer with an active license.

Step-by-step Tutorial

 Follow the steps to learn how to hide the Quick Launch menu:

Step 1: Open ShortPoint Theme Builder

Go to the SharePoint Team site you want to use and click the ShortPoint logo:

Select Theme Builder:

NOTEThe Theme Builder Quick Access button is only available for ShortPoint Designers with ShortPoint version 8.2.2.x.xx or higher. Otherwise, you can check out How to Launch Theme Builder to learn how to open it.

Step 2: Enable Hide Side Panel

Select General Settings:

Navigate to Elements:

Choose the scope of pages where you want to hide Quick Launch. For this guide, we will hide Quick Launch for All Sites:

Look for the Hide Side Panel option and toggle it on:

Step 3: Publish

Once satisfied, click Publish:

Congratulations! The Quick Launch menu is now hidden on your Team Site:
