Step-by-step Tutorial
There are two ways to add videos to your page. Follow along to learn how:
Option 1: Using the File and Media Web Part
Step 1: Add the File and Media web part
- Go to the SharePoint page you want to use and click Edit.
- Select the gray plus icon.
- Use the search bar to look for File and Media and click it.
Step 2: Insert the Video
- Look for the video you want to showcase and select it.
- Click Insert.
Step 3: (Optional) Customize the Video
- Click Video Settings and customize the video according to your preference:
 | Thumbnail | allows you to customize the thumbnail of your video. |
 | About Video | allows you to customize the Title and description of the video. |
 | Transcript and captions | allows you to generate or upload transcripts for your video. |
 | Chapters | allows you to add chapters to your videos, making it easier to watch. |
 | Comments | allows you to enable or disable viewer comments. |
 | Analytics | allows you to enable or disable video analytics. |
 | Noise suppression | allows your viewers to turn noise suppression off within the video player. |
 | Audio files | allows you to upload audio. |
Step 4: Publish / Republish
- Once you are satisfied with your edits, click Publish / Republish.
Option 2: Using the Embed Web Part
Step 1: Add the Embed web part
- Go to the SharePoint page you want to use and click Edit.
- Select the gray plus icon.
- Use the search bar to look for Embed and click it.
Step 2: Paste the URL
- Paste the URL of the video (applicable for YouTube videos) or the embed code of the video (applicable for other sources) in the field provided.
- Then, click the cross icon to exit the settings.
Step 3: Publish / Republish
- Once you are satisfied with your edits, click Publish / Republish.
