SharePoint Branding: How to Do It Using ShortPoint Theme Builder with No Coding

ShortPoint Theme Builder is one of the ShortPoint features used to brand and customize your SharePoint sites with no coding, and without editing the master page.

By default, SharePoint sites are blue. Like this:

Very blue :)

You can change SharePoint Color palette yourself without the help of ShortPoint. We actually recommend that. Check out this article:

SharePoint and Office 365 Branding: Add New Color Palette

Use ShortPoint Branding Tools (Theme Builder) to apply company branding guidelines, fonts, color palette and build gorgeous themes:

Step 1: Activate ShortPoint Branding Feature

  • In the root site of your site collection, navigate to Site Settings - ShortPoint Dashboard - Site CustomizationCustomize my site
  • This will activate ShortPoint Branding Feature.

Step 2: Navigate to Color Palette Settings

  • Navigate to: General Settings - Color Palette
  • Your SharePoint site default color palate will open, and you can edit and preview all values.
  • The color values are automatically populated from the site color palette.

Step 3: Apply your colors

Start with Primary Color. This should be the most important color and will be used more than any other color on all pages. The primary color is the default color for many ShortPoint design elements, like, for example, Tiles

After you add your Primary color, add the rest of the colors. You can reuse these colors in all ShortPoint branding features and also in ShortPoint Page Builder.

You can paste hex value of your colors:

Designer Tip: Do not have a color palette? At least you should know your company main color. After that, you can use free online tools to generate a color palette based on the primary color. We like this one: Coolors.co

Step 4: Publish

Once you are done, hit the publish button.

Color Palette Usage

You can use the colors in ShortPoint branding tool

Also, you can find the colors at the top of the colors list:

You can reuse all of these colors while using ShortPoint Inserter (Page Builder):

Advanced Tip: Subsite with different branding settings

You can set brand colors at the root site of your site collection. All sites and subsites will use the same settings as their parent site. You can break this relation for the particular subsite.
