Before we Start:

This article explains how to hide the SharePoint Current Navigation ( see image below ) on three different levels:

  1. Hide Current Navigation on all site pages, on all devices.
  2. Hide Current Navigation only on the site home page.
  3. Hide Current Navigation only on mobile devices.




Part 1: Hide SharePoint & Office365 Current Navigation on all site pages


1. Open ShortPoint branding feature: Site Settings > ShortPoint Dashboard > Site Customization > Customize my site

2. Go to General Settings > Page Elements > and check the "Hide Side Menu" option, as shown below

3. Click Publish




Part 2: Hide SharePoint & Office365 Current Navigation on Home Page only


1. Open ShortPoint branding feature: Site Settings > ShortPoint Dashboard > Site Customization > Customize my site

2. Go to General Settings > Home Page Elements > and check the "Hide Side Menu" option, as shown below

3. Click Publish



Part 3: Hide SharePoint & Office365 Current Navigation on Mobile Devices


1. Open ShortPoint branding feature: Site Settings > ShortPoint Dashboard > Site Customization > Customize my site

2. Go to Mobile Settings > Mobile Elements > and check the "Hide Side Menu" option, as shown below

3. Click Publish




Note: You don't have to pick one of those three different levels to hide your Side Menu, for example, you can combine both Part2 and Part3, to have the Side Menu be hidden on both the Site Home Page and on mobile devices as well.


The Result

SharePoint Current Navigation that used to occupy the side area of the site, is no longer displayed, Happy branding!
