Verification Steps

Step 1: Navigate to ComponentManifests list in App Catalog site collection

From your App Catalog site collection, you need to navigate to the backend list called Component Manifests. To go there, you need to go to below URL:

<Your App Catalog Site Collection>/Lists/ComponentManifests

For example, if your App Catalog site collection URL is https://myTenant.sharepoint.com/sites/Apps, please use the URL below:

https://myTenant.sharepoint.com/sites/Apps/Lists/ComponentManifests

If you have an App Catalog site that is named something other than Apps, please make sure to update the URL:

https://myTenant.sharepoint.com/sites/<Your Custom App Catalog Site Name>/Lists/ComponentManifests

For example, if your site is named catalogApps:

https://myTenant.sharepoint.com/sites/catalogApps/Lists/ComponentManifests

Step 2: Check ShortPoint component entry

In the list, make sure that you have only one entry for ShortPointCustomActionsApplicationCustom. Here is what you should see inside ComponentManifests:

Common Issue

One common issue that you may encounter when going through the upgrade process from ShortPoint version 6.1.0.0 to the latest version, is seeing two entries for ShortPointCustomActionsApplicationCutom.

Here is a sample:

How to fix it?

If you see two entries of the same extension, you need to delete the ShortPoint SPFx and Upload it again.

IMPORTANT: If you encountered this issue, you need to perform the same steps as explained in Important Notice! Upgrade to Latest ShortPoint SPFx from 6.1.0.0 (SharePoint 2019).

You do not need to do anything in your site collection where ShortPoint is installed. You only have to delete the ShortPoint SPFx app, and add it again, to resolve this issue.
