If by any reason you still see the old experience, please use this article. Otherwise, skip it and proceed to Installation Step 1: Uploading ShortPoint to SharePoint App Catalog in Office 365.

This article will explain how to set up the Tenant App Catalog on your Office 365 SharePoint Environment, so you can add ShortPoint SPFx to it after.

The following video will go over the steps to set up the Tenant App Catalog in Office 365:

Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: Log in to your Office 365 Admin

Log in to your Office 365 admin center page with an administrator account, then choose Admin:

Select Admin

Step 2: Go to SharePoint Admin Center

In the side App Launcher menu,

  • if you're using the new admin center, click All admin centers:

Click All admin centers

In the opened menu, click SharePoint:

Click SharePoint

  • if you're using the old admin center, scroll down and click the Admin Centers:

Click Admin centers

From the drop-down, choose SharePoint:

Choose SharePoint

Step 3: Open App Catalog page

Click More features on the left menu section:

Click More Features

Click the Open button under the Apps section:

Click Open under Apps

Select the App Catalog option:

Select App Catalog

Step 4: Configure your App Catalog site

SharePoint offers three options to create an App Catalog:
  • Automatically;
  • Manually;
  • Using the URL for an existing App Catalog.

We recommend choosing automatic creation - it is the fastest option (takes up to 1 min) and doesn't require any manual configuration. On the App Catalog Site page, choose OK to accept the default option and create a new app catalog site:

Create App Catalog

Result

Now every time you open your App Catalog, this will open your App Catalog site where you can start uploading Apps for SharePoint. The site will look like this in a different title, of course:

App Catalog
