Support formatted numbers in Counter Boxes

It would be ideal if formatted numbers were supported.  An example our designers did in WP is at http://www.eahealthsolutions.com.  On the Home page if you scroll down to the third section, there are counters for Patients, Encounters, Contracted Doctors, etc.
