How does security work when you connect to a list?

I have not had time to test.

For example, lets say I am the only one that has access to list X.

I connect an element to list X and add it to the page, home.aspx.

A user goes to home.aspx. Do they see the contents of list X in the element?

Hi Alex,

If the user does not have permission to the list, he/she will not see content from the list.
